Insect screens are installed to prevent insects from entering the building, but they are also useful to keep out larger polluting items carried in the air, especially feathers, hairs, and leaves. We use fibreglass mesh from the American manufacturer New York Wire Company. The fibreglass mesh is available in light grey at standard prices but can also be ordered in white or black at an extra cost.
Vertically Sliding Standalone Roller Insect Screen (for windows)
The mobile, easy-to-use insect screen for windows, fitted with a standalone spring and requiring a minimum amount of space, has the advantage that it can be removed with a flick of the wrist in insect-free periods.
Horizontally Sliding Standalone Roller Insect Screen (for doors)
In addition to the most frequently used mobile roller version, a horizontally sliding type is also available, used especially for doors but also suitable for windows in special sizes.
Hinged Insect Screens (for doors)
The hinged door type is made from a 23x45 mm powder coated aluminium profile, fitted with magnetic locks and is available in white and brown at standard prices. Spring hinges and reinforced lower profiles can be ordered separately. Our hinged insect screen doors are also available in arched versions. These doors are fitted with spring hinges and close automatically for perfect protection.
Sliding insect screens (for doors)
Our sliding mobile insect screens are also built with an aluminium structure, with an extended track if required (normally for large sliding doors used e.g. on patios).
Vertical insect screen integrated with shutters (typical for windows)
If you also order shutters, the integrated roller insect screen is an ideal choice for externally mounted or plasterable aluminium and plastic shutters as well.
Fixed insect screens (for windows)
Fixed screens are available with aluminium or plastic frames. The size of fixed insect screens is limited to 120x150cm; we carry out installations only for windows with safe access from the ground or a ladder.
