A sunscreen is a device fitted mostly on the outer surface of doors and windows (it can also be installed indoors), which provides shading from outside, while creating natural light conditions inside the room. In contrast with other devices (curtains, drapes, blinds etc.) used to screen sunlight, which absorb the heat of sunlight and then radiate it towards the interior, sunscreens are capable of screening up to 70% of sunlight, preventing the window from warming up and heat being radiated to areas from which it actually needs to be blocked out.
