Externally mounted shutters
Externally mounted shutters can be installed on virtually any finished house or apartment even if lacking pre-prepared location for the shutters. Shutters made in custom sizes, available in a wide variety of colours are essential features of modern homes today.
Shutters with plasterable boxes
For newly built houses, models with plasterable boxes are a much more attractive and practical choice as there is only a minimal extra cost compared to the traditional externally mounted assembly. In fact, this type is also an externally mounted assembly, but its box is „hidden” under the rendering, thus making it invisible.
If the walls have been constructed but the windows are not yet installed, the necessary room for the shutter box can be created by means of a so-called frame extender. In this case, the window will naturally have to be somewhat lower.
